Transforms into a truck which Ill colour too at some stage.

Now sure if you would be old enough to remember this this, but there used to be a surreal anti-hero called "The Maxx".  It was a show on MTV back in the late 80s, very early 90s.  This rendition of Optimus Prime strongly reminds me of that character, "The Maxx".  'The Maxx' was colored gold and purple-blue.  This is WAY BETTER than anything from Michael Bay.
